Job summary

Micron Technology's Boise Expansion Team seeks a Yield Analysis Manager to lead a data-driven effort to improve fab yield and product quality. You will guide a cross-functional team, champion MBPS and AI-enabled analytics, and translate complex data into actionable manufacturing improvements.

This role requires a technical bachelor's in engineering or physics, 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of semiconductor physics knowledge and device operation.
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience with JMP, Python or similar tools.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing or yield-related data and applying structured problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Yield Analysis team to achieve fab yield and quality goals through yield deviation management and long-term improvement.
  • Establish and manage yield KPIs, forecasting methods, dashboards, and operating mechanisms.
  • Drive MBPS, root cause analysis, statistical validation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Process Engineering, Failure Analysis, Quality and Manufacturing to prioritize yield opportunities.
  • Develop team capability through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and deployment of automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.

As a Yield Analysis Manager, you will lead a team focused on improving fab yield performance through advanced analytics, structured problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive yield improvement strategies, develop engineering talent, and leverage data, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to accelerate issue resolution and strengthen manufacturing performance across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Yield Analysis team to achieve fab yield and quality goals through yield deviation management, yield-tail reduction, yield ramp acceleration, and long-term yield improvement.
  • Establish and manage yield KPIs, forecasting methods, dashboards, and operating mechanisms that drive accountability and measurable business results.
  • Drive technical excellence in Model-Based Problem Solving (MBPS), root cause analysis, statistical validation, and corrective action implementation.
  • Partner with Process Integration, Process Engineering, Failure Analysis, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to prioritize yield opportunities and resolve critical issues.
  • Develop team capability through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and deployment of automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that improve engineering effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in semiconductor physics with knowledge of transistor operation, device scaling, reliability, CMOS circuits, and characterization methods.
  • 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools such as JMP, Python, or similar software.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing or yield-related data and applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • DRAM manufacturing experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Yield Analysis or RDA within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience driving yield improvement through defect analysis, failure analysis, and advanced data analytics.
  • Experience using AI-assisted analytics to enhance data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiatives.
