Job summary

Thebigword Inc. is hiring Yiddish bilingual speakers to support NYC elections. You will assist at polling sites across NYC, interpreting between voters and poll workers and translating ballots. Training provided, travel reimbursement offered. Earn $22/hour on Election Day and for the 1.5 hours of training.

This role helps ensure a nonpartisan, welcoming environment for voters with limited English proficiency during early voting and Election Day.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Available for Election Day (5:00am–10:00pm) and Early Voting days.
• Willing to undergo training.

Responsibilities

• Support polling sites across NYC Boroughs.
• Interpret between voters and poll workers; translate ballots.
• Assist with site setup, breakdown, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure a nonpartisan, welcoming environment.
