The University of Kansas is hiring student tutors for its Youth Educational Services (YES) Tutoring program. These tutors will provide essential tutoring services to K-12 students in local Lawrence public schools, ensuring that they receive the support they need before, during, and after school.
Applicants should be KU students, preferably with experience working with children, and must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA while enrolled in at least six credit hours. This is an hourly position, and remote work is not typically available.
The Youth Educational Services (YES) Tutoring program hires KU students to work as tutors and mentors in local Lawrence public schools. Tutors provide before, during and after school tutoring services with kindergarten through high school students. We look for KU students in a variety of majors who have a strong dedication to helping youth and a desire to make a difference.

During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre‑enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
