POSITION DESCRIPTION: Looking for U.S. citizens with a strong academic background and prior experience in research and analysis focused on Yemen. This is a unique opportunity to join the Hoplite Group team in our flagship Publicly Available Information project, focusing on public sentiments and media analysis specific to Yemen. The role involves daily media information correlation, triangulation of reporting, and analytical report production. If you are an analyst interested in Yemen, this is an excellent opportunity.

LOCATION: Remote

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• U.S. citizen with at least 3 years of academic and professional experience in Publicly Available Information research and analysis related to Yemen.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Middle Eastern studies, Yemen studies, or equivalent professional experience of 3-5 years focusing on Yemen or the region.
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Yemen's security, social, cultural, and political aspects.
• Experience conducting media and social media analysis.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, capable of producing client-ready reports.
• Experience with open-source geospatial tools (e.g., Google Earth, ArcGIS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) for efficient report production.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams, including managing local analyst teams.
• Eligibility for a Department of Defense Secret clearance.

DESIRED:

• Recent travel or work in Yemen or surrounding regions.
• Experience with surveys and focus groups.
• Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
• Experience collaborating with local nationals.
