Job description

New River Strategies uses data, insights, and technology to move people to action.

We are looking for a Research Analyst to support our work helping campaigns, causes, and companies use data, insights, and technology to support decisions about whom to target, what to say to targets, and how to achieve their goals using quantitative tools and tactics. Our campaign work is exclusively with Democratic and progressive groups, so this position would not be a good fit for people on the other side of the aisle. The ideal candidate will enjoy the design, execution, and analysis of custom research projects and combines sharp analytical thinking with technical fluency in tools like R to generate actionable insights from data.

We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds; there are no educational requirements for this position on purpose. Candidates who pass an initial resume screen will be asked to complete a brief written test; candidates who pass the test will be invited to an interview; candidates who pass the interview will have references checked. We will then make an offer from there. While we would like to hire immediately, there is no time limit on our process; we are trying to find the candidate who is best qualified and fits best as opposed to forcing a timeline. Accordingly, applications will be evaluated as they come in.

In addition to a competitive salary, candidates have the chance to earn an annual bonus based on company and individual performance. We cover 90% of healthcare costs, have a generous PTO policy, and offer professional development reimbursements. We are also happy to discuss flexible working schedules for candidates who prefer that.

This is a fully remote permanent position. Candidates must be located within the United States and have fast and reliable Internet access. New River Strategies is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all Federal and District of Columbia hiring laws and practices. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor applicants for visas. No agencies please.
