Job summary

Qualifications

• Teacher Assistant Certificate required.
• Clearance checks (State Central Register, Driver license, fingerprinting) as required.
• Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.
• Attending TCI class for certification/re-certification and passing a test.

Responsibilities

• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Assist students individually or in small groups academically.
• Supervise students and maintain classroom order.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Collect student assignments as arranged with teachers.
• Enforce classroom values and assist with behavior management.
• Record information behavior on ABC sheets and complete reports when necessary.
