The Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM invites a Year-Round R&D Graduate Intern to join the Critical Experiments Team within Applied Nuclear Technologies. You will assist in designing, performing, and documenting critical benchmark experiments to support safe nuclear operations.

You should be enrolled full-time in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be able to work up to 30 hours per week during the school year and up to 40

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled full-time in graduate program in science, engineering, or math.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week in summer.
• Ability to obtain U.S. citizenship for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, perform, and document critical benchmark experiments.
• Perform neutron transport modeling and data analysis.
• Conduct research and publish results.
• Work in a team to maintain a safe, secure working environment.
