Job summary

The Kitchen Equipment Technician is a year-round full-time position based out of Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park. You will troubleshoot, repair, preventive maintain, and manage seasonal openings/closings of commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring reliability and code compliance.

You will mentor seasonal employees, provide hands-on training, and document work in CMMS, with a 40-hour week and potential evenings, weekends, or holidays in a dynamic park setting.

Qualifications

• Manufacturer training or certifications for commercial kitchen equipment.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration systems and EPA 608 certification.
• Ability to train or lead seasonal staff in technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, and steam systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and seasonal openings/closings.
• Track and close work orders in CMMS.
• Mentor seasonal employees on equipment operation and safety.
• Ensure OSHA/NFPA standards and safe work practices.
• Coordinate with F&B teams on proper equipment use and care.
• Occasional overtime, weekends, or night work as needed.
