Job summary

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is seeking an Expanded Learning Program Instructor to support before-school, after-school, summer and intersession activities for elementary and middle school students in the LA region, including Compton and surrounding communities.

The role focuses on academic, recreational, and enrichment activities with emphasis on safety and positive student engagement. The schedule runs year-round with a roughly 22–24 hour week, with increased hours in summer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance and recreational programming in small groups and whole-class settings.
• Develop and implement academic, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and program operations.
• Support and aid classroom teachers as assigned.
• Assist with event planning and attendance records.
• Enter attendance data into the data management system.
• Submit relevant data such as progress reports and evaluations on time.
• Report on student progress and behavior.
• Attend weekly or monthly staff meetings and trainings.
• Participate in site and regional training sessions.
