Job summary

Tarkett is seeking a Production Manager for our Yarn facility to lead production planning, staffing, and daily manufacturing operations. You will work with supervisors to plan budgets, optimize processes, and ensure cost-efficient, high-quality product delivery to customers.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Evening/night shifts and flexible schedules may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years in a leadership/supervisory role in manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Proficient using a PC and other department specific databases and/or systems.
• Experience with 4D/Root Cause Analysis, shows critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control to plan, implement and control expenditure while maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with Senior Management and internal customers.
• Ability and willingness to challenge established practices and draw relevant conclusions; persuade and lead change; work in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Excellent human resource management skills to lead and direct a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Plans production operations, establishes priorities and sequences for manufacturing products and monitors schedules to meet deadlines.
• Monitors daily production output and operational status to ensure quality and timelines.
• Participates in safety initiatives; conducts daily safety walks and addresses unsafe acts.
• Engages in process improvement and maintenance planning with Quality, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Collaborates with supervisors on employee relations, scheduling, discipline, and coaching.
• Works with Plant Manager to plan budgets and control costs for high-quality production.
• Performs other duties as required.
