Position Description

This position is responsible for the loading and unloading of Mutual Materials products for customers in a courteous, safe, and efficient manner. Promoting positive customer relations and providing an exceptional level of customer service is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory and shipping and receiving documentation, keeping the yard orderly, as well as performing physical labor as necessary to prepare and break down pallets and occasionally hand load product. This position works outdoors year-round, subject to all weather elements, predominantly using a forklift to move palletized product.

On-the-job training will be provided to all new hires by experienced Mutual Materials employees. This is a full-time job, Monday-Friday.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

• Similar / related work experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
• The qualified candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced distribution team.
• Physical capacity to lift 70+ pounds occasionally; able to stand for most of the day; bending, twisting, and lifting are essential.
• OSHA certified forklift certification / experience is preferred.
• Previous experience with masonry products, stone, and/or construction practices is a plus.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
