Job summary

Star Nursery Nevada is seeking yard workers to maintain and stage plant material at the store. Duties include unloading trucks, stocking plants, and caring for plants while upholding safe conditions.

The yard team starts early each morning to be ready for incoming trucks, with training and certification for forklift operation available. Responsibilities also cover loading/unloading, stock labeling, store upkeep, and helping with merchandise movement.

Yard workers are a crucial member of the Star Nursery team. It is their duty to maintain the upkeep and staging of plant material at the store. Some of their duties include offloading material from trucks, stocking them where they belong and performing general care for the plants while maintaining safe working conditions. The yard team is normally at the store early in the morning so that they are ready when the trucks come in.

• Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage.
• Loading and unloading plant material
• Operating a forklift
• Plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
• Stocking & Labeling
• Store upkeep
• Receiving, Stocking & Moving Merchandise
• Performs other related duties as assigned
