Job summary

Star Nursery Arizona is seeking Yard Workers to provide outstanding customer service and sales assistance in our outdoor yard area. You will answer questions, recommend products, and help maintain a safe, clean shopping environment while performing plant upkeep.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading plant material, operating a forklift (training provided), stocking and labeling, and ensuring quality and timely service.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in lawn and garden center or equivalent.
• Honest and hard working with ability to work long hours in all weather.
• Able to lift and move plant material and pass a drug test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Yard Workers are important members of the Star Nursery team. They provide outstanding customer services and sales assistance to customers. They answer customers’ questions, recommend products/ materials & provide a safe working/shopping environment. They provide general plant upkeep & quality control and work outside in yard area of our stores.

Job Description:

• Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service
• Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage.
• Loading and unloading plant material
• Operating a forklift
• Product knowledge & Plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
• Stocking & Labeling
• Store upkeep
• Receiving, Stocking & Moving Merchandise
• Performs other related duties as assigned
