Job summary

Star Nursery, Inc. is seeking Yard Workers to unload and stock plant material, perform basic plant maintenance, and maintain outdoor yard areas. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality control while working outdoors across store yards.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, loading/unloading, stocking, labeling, and general store upkeep. Candidates should be able to lift and move materials and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Stock and label merchandise; maintain store area.
• Receive, stock, and move merchandise as needed.

Job description

Yard Workers are important members of the Star Nursery team. They are responsible for unloading and stocking all new plant material in a safe and efficient manner. They provide general plant upkeep & quality control and work outside in yard area of our stores.

Job Description:

• Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service
• Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage.
• Loading and unloading plant material
• Operating a forklift
• Product knowledge & Plant maintenance (watering, cleaning, pruning)
• Stocking & Labeling
• Store upkeep
• Receiving, Stocking & Moving Merchandise
• Performs other related duties as assigned
