Job description

About the Job:

The primary focus of this position is to ensure that WillScot Storage Units and Offices are cleaned, repaired, and in working condition so they can be rented out. This role involves performing a variety of general labor tasks.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Yard Worker, your responsibilities include:

• Cleaning, repairing, and ensuring all Storage Units and Offices are ready for rent, including repairs on customer sites, such as:
• Sweeping and hosing out
• Checking A/C units if applicable
• Replacing tile or epoxy flooring
• Repairing drywall holes
• Cleaning windows, blinds, doors, floors, and walls
• Replacing light bulbs, locks, blinds, door handles, etc.
• Painting
• Performing minor welding and electrical repairs
• Addressing repairs needed for customer units in the field
• Documenting work completed and verifying units as either needing further repairs (red tagged) or ready to rent (green tagged)
• Replenishing supplies and maintaining an organized, hazard-free yard
• Operating a forklift to load and unload containers from trucks and trailers
• Performing other duties as assigned; regular attendance is required

Equipment You Will Use:

• Mops, paint and painting materials, drywall putty, masks
• Welder, floor cleaners, maintenance tools for repairs
• Electrical hand tools, gas-powered forklift
• Computer for timekeeping

Education and Qualifications:

• 0-2 years' experience in general labor and repairs
• High School Diploma or GED
• Welding experience preferred
• Current Driver's License
