Moore's Lumber & Hardware in Dahlonega, GA is seeking a Yard Associate to provide excellent customer service, manage merchandise, and support deliveries from the yard and warehouse. You will operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, and assist with contractor sales while maintaining safety and inventory control.

The role requires forklift certification, some delivery experience, and comfort with handling lumber and building materials.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift certification and some delivery experience.
• Experience dealing with the public and basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner in yard or warehouse.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard.
• Assist drivers in delivery to homes and job sites.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles; verify quantity.
• Develop expertise with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Identify shortages and report to store management.
• Maintain clean and orderly yard and warehouse.
• Assist cashiers and sales counters as needed.
• Support contractor sales counter functions as required.
