Job summary

Quality Structures, Inc. is seeking a dependable Yard Employee to maintain the yard, organize lumber inventory, and support loading operations with a forklift.

You will inspect lumber for defects, build truss packages, and ensure safe, efficient yard workflow while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area. In this role you will handle various sizes and types of lumber, unload incoming materials, and collaborate with teammates to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Regular and punctual attendance essential to the role.
• Ability to recognize size, grade and quality of material.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to stack and organize various sizes and types of lumber
• Inspect lumber for defects and ensure quality standards
• Safely loading trusses onto trucks for delivery
• Removing trusses from racks and relocating for staging in yard
• Building truss packages and preparing for delivery
• Maintain inventory control accuracy of all wood products and hangers
• Unload and receive product as it is delivered from vendors.
• Audit packing slips to confirm accuracy of product orders and shipments.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Regular and predictable attendance, including overtime, is essential
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
