Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Yard Truck Driver in Denton, TX. You will operate an Ottawa Yard Truck, manage trailers, and perform daily equipment checks to ensure safety and load security. The position includes overtime and a path to long-term career advancement.

The role offers competitive pay with benefits and requires the ability to work a 4th shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:00pm–5:00am) at our Denton location. Prior yard truck or semi experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53’ long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure.
• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure.
• Must operate a forklift to move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Must stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• Must examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Must maintain a clean & safe environment working environment that meets Relogistics standards.

Overview

As a Yard Truck Driver, you’ll get to move loaded and unloaded trailers around our Reverse Logistics Centers as needed. You’ll be responsible for making decision regarding the movement of trailers to maximize the efficiency of our operation and minimize safety incidents. This person will be vital to the success of our team!

Hourly Pay:

$21.00/hr

4th Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00pm - 5:00am

What You'll Do

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53’ long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage

• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure.

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
