Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Yard Truck Driver in Northampton, PA to move loaded and unloaded trailers and optimize yard operations. You will operate an automatic yard truck, inspect equipment, perform safety checks, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Join our team for a stable 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm with competitive hourly pay and benefits. Prior yard or semi driving is a plus; training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Prior yard truck or semi driving experience is a plus.
• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail.
• High safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic yard truck to maneuver 53’ trailers in tight spaces.
• Perform daily equipment checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Inspect loads to verify security and quality.
• Operate forklift to move pallets when required.
• Stack pallets per inventory instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per Relogistics standards.

Overview

As aYard Truck Driver, you’ll get to move loaded and unloaded trailers around our plant as needed. You’ll be responsible for making decision regarding the movement of trailers to maximize the efficiency of our operation and minimize safety incidents. This person will be vital to the success of our team!

Hourly Pay:

$20.00/hr

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You'll Do

• Operate an automatic OttawaYard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53’ long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage

• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure.

• Inspectloads to ensure they are secure

• When applicable, mustoperatea forklift to move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

• When applicable, must stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions

• When applicable, must examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

• Mustmaintaina clean & safe environment working environment that meets Relogistics standards

What You'll Need

• Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi is a plus, notrequired

• Good math,languageand reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills

• High degree of attentionrequiredto prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment

• Understanding that overtime may berequired
