Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Yard Truck Driver in Mesquite, TX to move loaded trailers at our Reverse Logistics Center. You will operate a Yard Truck, inspect loads, and help maintain safety and efficiency while supporting inventory control and pallet movement.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, a strong safety mindset, and willingness to work overtime. Competitive benefits and a team-oriented environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience driving yard truck or semi is a plus but not required.
• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck to maneuver 53’ trailers in tight spaces without damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks, fluid levels, air filters, and ensure loads are secure.
• Inspect loads to verify they are secure.
• Operate a forklift to move pallets or materials as needed.
• Stack pallets or materials following inventory control instructions.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment meeting Relogistics standards.

Overview

As a Yard Truck Driver, you’ll get to move loaded and unloaded trailers around our Reverse Logistics Centers as needed. You’ll be responsible for making decision regarding the movement of trailers to maximize the efficiency of our operation and minimize safety incidents. This person will be vital to the success of our team!

Hourly Pay:

$19.50/hr

Shift: Thursday - Sunday 5:30am - 4:30pm

What You\'ll Do

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53’ long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage

• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure.

• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure

• When applicable, must operate a forklift to move pallets or materials on pallets or in crates around the storage facility

• When applicable, must stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions

• When applicable, must examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

• Must maintain a clean & safe environment working environment that meets Relogistics standards

What You\'ll Need

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision

• Must have a good sense of balance & good eye-hand-foot coordination

• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
