Job summary

Amazon.com is seeking Transportation Associates to move trailers in the yard, coordinate yard activities, and support the transportation network. You will operate multiple vehicle types, follow DOT regulations, and complete inspections as part of a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain CDL if required by business need
• Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles and yard equipment
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to policies
• Excellent communication with operations and carriers

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following company rules and enforcing safety measures for all yard operations
• Perform yard functions to ensure trailers arrive and depart on time and maintain workflow
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard as needed
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and company policies
• Complete vehicle inspection reports and report maintenance or delivery issues
• Follow schedules, track working hours and breaks, and comply with regulations
• Support as peer trainer and assist at nearby site locations
• Drive and load/unload trucks using approved equipment such as pallet jacks
