Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Regular Full-Time Yard Tractor Driver for 1st shift. You will operate a yard tractor to move trailers/containers on company premises and assist in loading/unloading while following yard procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of yard tractor experience. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, directing outside drivers, and maintaining a safe, efficient yard.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; certificate from college or technical school and at least one year prior experience operating a yard tractor and/or tractor/trailer combined.

Responsibilities

• Drives yard tractor to move trailers/containers on company premises; may transport between facilities if licensed.
• Inspects yard tractor equipment and reports truck condition.
• Assists warehouse workers in loading and unloading truck.
• Follows RF commands or other method of communication which are in the queue in YMS; receives instructions from yard controllers.
• Directs outside drivers to proper locations in the yard and explains safety procedures.
• Practices safe driving and yard housekeeping.
• Chocks wheels of trailers/containers at dock doors; ensures doors are partially closed before pulling.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Education
