Job summary

The Yard Associate at Watco supports terminal operations by unloading trucks and railcars, operating material-handling equipment, and keeping the bulk terminal clean and compliant with safety standards. You’ll follow SOPs, maintain efficiency, and work with a team in a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm, earning $20 per hour with on-the-job training and safety-focused practices.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, with overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations.
• Communicates with management to determine staffing needs and prioritize workflow.
• Operate and maintain equipment for safe transfer of materials between silos, railcars, barges, and vessels.
• Adheres to SOPs, PPE policies, and all safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform maintenance and inspections to support terminal and vessel efficiency.
