Job summary

Watco Transloading is hiring a Yard Associate to support terminal operations, unload trucks and railcars, and maintain a safe, clean bulk terminal facility. You will operate material-handling equipment and collaborate with drivers and warehouse teams to meet performance goals.

The role requires strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work in varied weather. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement within Watco University and related programs.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team and follow directions.
• Maintain regular attendance and high performance standards.
• Perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Follow company standards, procedures, and safety principles.
• Read, write and communicate in English; understand basic math.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily terminal, vessel, and warehouse operations.
• Operate and maintain equipment for safe transfer of materials.
• Communicate with supervision to determine staffing and priorities.
• Adhere to SOPs, PPE policies, and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the bulk terminal facility.
• Ensure work is performed safely and efficiently per standards.
