DRP Truck & Equipment is seeking a dependable Yard Technician to join our Cadiz, OH team. This hands-on role keeps yard operations running smoothly, focusing on equipment cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance.

You will assist with rental check-in/check-out, organize equipment for accessibility, and support customers and drivers with basic operation guidance. A valid license and safety‑minded approach are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard, fleet, dealership, or heavy equipment environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Cleaning & Inspection: Prepare equipment for rental, wash and detail, paint as needed, perform visual inspections.
• Maintenance & Upkeep: Perform basic preventative maintenance, assist with minor repairs, maintain grounds and facility cleanliness.
• Rental Yard Operations: Check-in/check-out, complete condition reports, assist customers, organize machines for accessibility.
• Yard & Inventory Management: Maintain organized yard, operate yard equipment safely, store equipment properly, conduct inventory/audits.
• Customer Interaction & Support: Provide courteous assistance, explain procedures and safety features, support management requests.

About the Role:

DRP Truck & Equipment is looking for a hardworking and dependable Yard Technician to join our team in Cadiz, OH! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in keeping our yard operations running smoothly and efficiently. If you love working with trucks and equipment and take pride in a job well done, we want to hear from you!

Responsbilities:

Equipment Cleaning & Inspection

• Prepare equipment for rental (cleaning, fueling, staging)
• Wash and detail construction and rental equipment upon return
• Paint equipment and trailers as needed
• Conduct visual inspections for leaks, damage, or wear
• Notify service team of any maintenance needs or safety concerns

Maintenance & Upkeep

• Perform basic preventative maintenance (greasing, fluid top-offs, battery checks, etc.)
• Assist with minor mechanical repairs under guidance of service technicians
• Maintain landscaping, grounds, snow removal, and facility cleanliness

Rental Yard Operations

• Assist with rental equipment digital check-in and check-out
• Complete condition reports and ensure machines are customer-ready
• Greet customers dropping off or picking up equipment; provide basic operational assistance
• Organize machines in designated areas for accessibility and presentation
• Assist with small rentals and parts pickups

Yard & Inventory Management

• Maintain an organized and safe yard layout
• Operate yard equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all equipment is properly stored and secured
• Load and unload equipment using forklifts or skid steers as needed
• Conduct periodic yard inventory and equipment audits

Customer Interaction & Support

• Provide courteous, hands-on assistance to customers and drivers
• Explain rental procedures, safety features, and basic equipment operation if needed
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a yard, fleet, dealership, or heavy equipment environment preferred
• Ability to operate trucks, trailers, and yard equipment safely (training can be provided)
• Valid driver's license required; with clean driving record
• Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and heavy equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
