Gerken Rent-All & Waters Hardware is seeking a Rental Yard Technician in Manhattan, KS. You will prepare, inspect, load, unload, clean, fuel, and organize rental equipment while maintaining a safe, clean yard and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will load/unload equipment, inspect gear, stage rentals, and assist with deliveries. The role requires lifting, working outdoors, and operating equipment including forklifts, with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus (training provided).
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer equipment.
• Inspect equipment before and after every rental.
• Clean and fuel rental equipment.
• Stage equipment for upcoming reservations.
• Organize and maintain the rental yard.
• Assist with deliveries and pickups when qualified and assigned.
• Safely operate forklifts and rental equipment.
• Report damage and maintenance concerns.
• Help maintain a clean and safe facility.
