Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• May perform package handler functions: load/unload packages from vehicles, conveyors, carts; lifting, pushing, and pulling for 2–4 hour shifts.
• Sort packages by scanning labels, reading charts, and memorizing information.
• Other duties as assigned.
