Job summary

FedEx in Middletown Township, PA is hiring a Full-Time Yard Switcher/Package Handler for a Sunday-Thursday Early Morning shift. You will move trailers between yards and doors and assist with loading and unloading packages as needed.

No education is required; six months of package handling or CDL experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license and a DOT file are required, and you will work in a fast-paced team environment with safety at the fore.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months of package handling or switching/CDL operator experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches to move trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and central control.
• Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages by hand and sort them using labels and scanners.
