Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow safety methods and instructions.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Proficient with basic handling tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving parked trailers between yard and doors.
• Communicates with management to coordinate yard movements.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from vehicles and conveyors.
• Determines conveyor system use by reading labels and sorting accordingly.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
