Job summary

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer between yard and doors.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Handles package loading/unloading using hand-to-surface methods when required.
• Loads and sorts packages onto vehicles and conveyors; lifts and carries packages as needed.
