Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.

Experience with yard equipment and basic tools preferred.
Six months of experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs trailer switches moving a parked trailer from yard to a load/unload door or from a door to the yard.
Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
Documents trailer moves using yards system or switcher cards.
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
Follows yard safety processes and procedures.
Loads and unloads packages onto vehicles, trailers, and conveyors.
Sorts packages by scanning labels and reading charts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
