Builders FirstSource is seeking an experienced yard supervisor to direct activities of yard personnel in an outdoor setting. You will oversee loading/unloading, receiving, and inventory while ensuring safety and efficiency. Strong leadership and knowledge of yard operations are essential for success.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years in yard/manufacturing work. The role offers day-to-day supervision, training, and opportunity to contribute to continuous safety

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience coordinating yard or manufacturing activities are preferred.
• Experience with loading/unloading and yard operations is desirable.

Mansioni

• Directs yard workers in loading, unloading, and movement of materials on site using yard equipment.
• Oversees receiving, storage, and inventory handling; ensures compliance with safety and shipping specs.
• Provides on-the-job training and product knowledge to yard staff; enforces housekeeping and safety procedures.
• Inspects operations to ensure accuracy of bills of lading and packing slips; maintains safety standards.
• Schedules safety meetings and communicates rules to teams; identifies safety improvement opportunities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
