Job summary

A leading operations management company in Toledo, Ohio is looking for a Yard Supervisor to manage daily yard and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, ensure compliance with safety policies, and maintain efficient workflows. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have at least five years of experience in operations or warehouse management. Responsibilities

• Manage receiving, storage, and organization of inventory
• Operate and oversee forklift and yard equipment
• Maintain reports, operational updates, and business records
• Approve timesheets and time-off requests in accordance with policy
• Partner with Operations and Purchasing to maintain inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA, and company safety policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional yard environment
• Maintain regular in-person attendance
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

About the Role

We’re hiring a Yard Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day yard and warehouse operations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and high service standards. This role is responsible for supervising staff, coordinating workflows, maintaining inventory organization, and supporting overall operational performance.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operations and assign work to ensure tasks are completed effectively
• Lead, train, coach, and support yard and warehouse employees
• Monitor performance levels and remove barriers to productivity
• Ensure yard and warehouse operations meet customer and company expectations
• Manage receiving, storage, and organization of inventory
• Operate and oversee the safe operation of forklifts and yard equipment
• Maintain accurate reports, operational updates, and business records
• Approve timesheets and time‑off requests in accordance with policy
• Partner with Operations and Purchasing to maintain appropriate inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, ADA, and company safety policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional yard environment
• Maintain regular in‑person attendance
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting
• Ability to safely climb and descend ladders
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours when operational needs require

What You Bring

• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret basic operational and financial data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to maintain current auto insurance per company policy
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work in a team environment and provide hands‑on leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Five years of experience in operations, warehouse, or sales management preferred
