Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Inc. seeks part-time Yard Staff to safely receive, process, line up and support on sale day for consigned equipment at the auction yard.

Responsibilities include operating heavy and light equipment, inspecting facilities, managing keys, and helping with setup and load-out to ensure a smooth bidding process for customers during auctions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license meeting company's motor vehicle policy required.

• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Lot number equipment
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Drives sound truck
• Holds item for sale sign
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Description

The Part Time Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment
• Manages keys for equipment
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment
• Boosts equipment
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Lot number equipment
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Drives sound truck
• Holds 'This item for sale sign' (stick person)
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Perform other duties as assigned
