Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a dedicated Yard Staff member to join our Yard Operations team in Paducah, KY. You will safely receive, process, line up and support sale-day activities for consigned equipment, ensuring clean, organized displays and adherence to customer service standards.

The role involves operating light and heavy equipment, basic maintenance, coordinating with inspectors and staff, and contributing to a smooth auction day experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases consigned equipment for auction.
• Lines up equipment for display prior to auction using an auction listing.
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections and provides housekeeping/maintenance services.
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment and loads/unloads via forklift as needed.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp and assists with auction day setup.

It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction - from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

Job Description

The Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment
• Manages keys for equipment
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment
• Boosts equipment
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Lot number equipment
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Drives sound truck
• Holds 'This item for sale sign' (stick person)
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Perform other duties as assigned
