Job summary

Ritchie Bros. is seeking a Part-Time Yard Staff member to safely receive, process, line up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. You will follow RB Global’s customer service standards in a fast-paced yard environment.

The role requires operating heavy and light equipment, driving a forklift, and performing routine maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency on site, with adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate heavy and light equipment.
• Valid driver’s license per motor vehicle policy.
• Ability to work in a busy yard environment with attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases consigned equipment for auction.
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction.
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment.
• Performs facility inspections and provides housekeeping or maintenance as necessary.
• Performs basic maintenance on RB owned equipment.
• Manages keys for equipment.
• Operates forklift to load/unload equipment.
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp.
• Holds 'This item for sale sign' and places operators in rolling stock.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Valid driver's license meeting company policy required.

Job Description

The Part Time Yard Staff safely receives, processes, lines up, sale day support and check-out consigned equipment for the auction. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff

Responsibilities

• Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) consigned equipment for auction
• Uses an auction listing to line up equipment for display prior to auction
• Drives/operates heavy and light equipment
• Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary
• Performs basic maintenance on RBA owned equipment
• Manages keys for equipment
• Operates forklift to load/unload stationary row equipment
• Boosts equipment
• Basic assembly of equipment i.e. dozer blades, etc
• Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment
• Lot number equipment
• Sets out signage, flagging, and trash receptacles for auction day
• Drives sound truck
• Holds 'This item for sale sign' (stick person)
• Places operators in rolling stock
• Parks sold equipment on the ramp
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Valid driver's license meeting company's motor vehicle policy required
