Smithfield Foods in North Carolina is seeking a distribution yard spotter operator to move refrigerated trailers and tankers within the plant yard and to the cold storage area across from the facility. You will operate a semi-tractor, perform light maintenance, and set and monitor unit temperatures per customer requests.

A valid Class A CDL, at least 1 year of truck driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Flexible hours; overtime possible, including 6–7 days during peak times.

Responsabilités

• Move refrigerated trailers and tankers with a semi-tractor within the plant yard and to cold storage as needed.
• Perform routine light maintenance on equipment and ensure cleanliness.
• Set and monitor unit temperatures per customer requests.
