Job summary

Pratt Industries in Oklahoma City requires a responsible on-site worker to move trailers to and from dock doors, communicating movements to the Shipping lead and ensuring loads are secured and trailers are clean.

The role demands safety-focused operation of equipment (fifth wheel/TADC) and physical ability to repeatedly climb in/out of a tractor. Adherence to all policies, laws, and shift transitions is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate hydraulic fifth wheel and TADC with 53’ dry van.
• Must be able to climb in and out of tractor repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to and from dock doors safely and efficiently.
• Communicate all trailer movements to Shipping lead.
• Ensure trailers are clean and free of debris before docking.
• Adhere to state, local, and Federal laws.
• Ensure loads are secured before dropping trailers.
• Report any yard operation issues to the Manager on duty.
• Note and correct any asset repairs before preloading assets.
• Perform a daily shift communication transition before the start of the shift.

• Adhere to all company policies.
• Adhere to all State, local, and Federal laws.
• Ensure load is secured before dropping trailer.
• Communicate all issues related to the yard operations to Manager on duty
• Ensure that all appropriate asset repairs are noted and corrected prior to preloading assets
• Perform a daily shift communication transition prior to the start of the shift
