Job summary

Carter Lumber in Easley, SC is seeking a yard associate to help contractors and do-it-yourselfers, load orders, pull and stage materials, and keep the yard organized.

You will work a 2nd shift (4pm–midnight, M-F), operate a forklift with training provided, and enjoy benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401(k), paid time off, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or highly preferred.
• Friendly personality and ability to work with a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Forklift operation training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts and keep area organized.
• Operate forklift; training and certification provided.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
