Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring for a full-time yard associate in Ohio. You will assist contractors and DIYers with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain yard organization.

A forklift is used in daily tasks, and the role requires teamwork and the ability to work outside in all conditions. We offer comprehensive benefits after 30 days, room for growth, and a family-friendly, people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required or preferred.
• Friendly personality and teamwork are important.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts; keep yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift as needed.

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift.
