Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring for a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection and loading. You will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain yard inventory. Training for forklift operation and certification will be provided.

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is important for teamwork.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Position requires a 2nd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain Yard inventory and conduct cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean, using a forklift when needed.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
