Job summary

Holmes Lumber, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection and loading, and to pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.

You will help maintain yard inventory and organization, and work outdoors in all conditions. Forklift operation may be required; training and certification are provided to successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is a plus.
• Team player with ability to work outdoors.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain inventory in the yard with cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift; forklift training and certification will be provided.

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
