Job summary

Carter Lumber in Easley, SC is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with orders, load and stage materials, and keep the yard organized.

You will operate a forklift after training, work outdoors in all conditions, and be a reliable team player who helps with inventory and customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and approach to customers.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced yard.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain inventory in the yard with cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift after training and obtain certification if needed.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
