Job summary

Carter Lumber in Akron, OH is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIYers with selections, load orders, and staging materials for pickup or delivery. You will pull and stock inventory, keep the yard organized, and perform cycle counts to help control stock.

We train forklift operation if needed and support you to attain certification. This is a team-oriented outdoor role requiring resilience in all weather conditions and a focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality and team-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Help maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean; operate a forklift as needed (training provided).

Description:

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
