Job summary

C&D Scrap Metal Recyclers is seeking a Yard Coordinator to support daily scale/yard operations in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on accurate grading, documentation, and smooth traffic flow within the facility.

You will work with customers and staff to ensure safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, possess strong interpersonal skills, and show meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required for clear communication with a diverse customer base.
• Strong customer service skills to assist customers and colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate grading and documentation.
• Solid organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced yard.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material movement with the Non-Ferrous Retail Center and cross-functional teams.
• Inspect and grade incoming/outgoing scrap materials accurately.
• Record grading results and adjustments with precision and timeliness.
• Work with Scale Operators to verify load and shipment accuracy.
• Direct customers to offloading areas and provide courteous service.
• Ensure compliance with material handling policies and customer processing.
• Identify high-value materials during unloading to maximize recovery.
• Assist with additional tasks to support operations goals.
