Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a dependable yard/truck driver to load and unload scrap metal, inspect commodity grades for inventory, and coordinate with the office and customers to determine loads. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and teamwork in a yard environment.

Applicants should be able to pass a medical physical and background check; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with a high school diploma or GED preferred. PriorLoader experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Bi‑lingual (English & Spanish) language skills a plus.
• Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Communicates with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Works independently when driving scrap metal.
• Works with customers to satisfy their needs and assist them when problems arise.
• Organization and cleanup of work areas; maintain safety and housekeeping.
