Job summary

Radius Recycling seeks a Metals Inspector to observe and verify quality and quantity of scrap materials. The role emphasizes safety, environmental standards, and accurate data recording across inbound shipments and yard operations.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or GED, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and staff while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers and other employees.

Responsibilities

• Inspect shipments of scrap metal to ensure material meets specifications and is free from environmental hazards.
• Record inspection data such as weight, grade, content, and quantity of scrap metal.
• Notify operations and commercial supervisors of problems and assist in remedial procedures.
• Collaborate with commercial department concerning quality and consistency of customer deliveries.
• Direct the unloading of vehicles delivering scrap to ensure safe and orderly traffic flow.
