Job summary

Garney is seeking a Superintendent to lead yard piping operations on water and wastewater projects, supervise underground and above-ground piping crews, and coordinate resources to meet production goals. You will ensure safety and quality, engage with project teams, mentor crews, and manage materials and inventories while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underground utility, process piping, or heavy civil construction experience with leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
• Experience leading self-perform yard piping or underground utility crews.
• Water/wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily self-perform yard piping operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Supervise crews installing underground and above-ground process piping, utility piping, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and schedules to maintain production goals.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Mentor and develop field crews while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Negotiate and purchase materials
• Maintain as-built documents
• Act as owner and architect/engineer contact
• Verify and provide inventory analysis
