Job summary

Garney is seeking a Superintendent to lead daily self-perform yard piping operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects. You will supervise crews, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will mentor field crews, collaborate with project managers and engineers, review drawings, and manage inventory and supplier relationships. Travel to sites as needed and uphold Garney's commitments to safety and workmanship.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field experience.
• 5+ years of underground utility, process piping, or heavy civil construction experience with leadership experience as a Foreman or Superintendent.
• Experience leading self-perform yard piping or underground utility crews.
• Water/wastewater treatment plant experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings, utility layouts, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily self-perform yard piping operations on water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Supervise crews installing underground and above-ground process piping, utility piping, and mechanical systems.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and schedules to maintain production goals.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, inspectors, and other trades to resolve field issues.
• Mentor and develop field crews while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Negotiate and purchase materials
• Maintain as-built documents
• Act as owner and architect/engineer contact
• Verify and provide inventory analysis
• Survey construction job site
