Responsibilities

• Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
• Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material while following quality standards.
• Ensure incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and quarantined if it fails the scan.
• Inspect scrap for grade and quality and communicate findings with the scale.
• Ensure outbound materials meet safety and quality standards.
• Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
• Assist in monthly inventory counts and maintenance tasks as required.
